Arc Raiders Rascal Location Guide: Where to Find Rascal Fast

If you’ve been grinding ARC Raiders lately, you’ve probably heard people talking about the Rascal. Added in the May update, this Rare (Blue-tier) break-action grenade launcher is quickly becoming a community favorite for anyone needing a reliable, hard-hitting heavy weapon to shred ARC units.
But unlike the Hullcracker—which has a straightforward, quest-locked path—getting your hands on the Rascal comes down to pure world RNG. There isn’t a single static spot where it sits waiting for you every run.
The good news? The community has already figured out exactly which loot tables it belongs to and the fastest farming rotations to exploit them. If you want to get the Rascal blueprint or a physical, ready-to-shoot weapon into your stash fast, here is the breakdown on how to target-farm it efficiently.
The Fastest Farming Loop: Riven Tides Stacking Yard
If you want sheer efficiency, skip the aimless wandering and load into Riven Tides. Players have pinpointed the Stacking Yard as the single highest-yield area for checking multiple potential Rascal drops in a single, rapid rotation. In one quick loop through the yard, you can check up to six high-value spawns:
  • The End Cranes: Don't just stay on the ground. Climb up and check the very ends of the massive cranes towering over the yard; grenade cases frequently spawn directly on these structures.
  • Crane Desks: Right below those same massive crane structures, look closely underneath the work desks. Grenade cases are often tucked away out of sight underneath them.
  • Office Buildings: Scope out the small office buildings attached to the main yard. These interiors have exceptionally high chances to host a red Security Breach locker.
Top Containers to Target
Because the Rascal is heavily tied to raider-specific loot pools, blindly opening every standard container you pass is a waste of time. When you are out on a run, ignore the generic junk and focus entirely on hunting down these specific containers:
  • Grenade Cases and Tubes: This is your absolute highest priority. The community reports the best success rates for this specific launcher coming straight out of these specialized military containers.
  • Raider Caches and Long Weapon Cases: These hold higher-tier raider gear and frequently roll the blue-tier weapon or its blueprint.
  • Raider Backpacks, Ammo Crates, and Med Bags: Always worth a quick search if you run past them, as they tap into the same regional drop pool.
  • Security Breach Lockers: These glowing red lockers are gold mines for the Rascal. Keep in mind that you will need to have the Security Breach skill unlocked on your character tree to open them, so make sure your build is ready before you head out.
Best Map Conditions for Boosted Drop Rates
If you are serious about finding the blueprint fast, do not bother farming standard, clear-weather daytime maps. The drop rates are significantly lower. Instead, keep a close eye on the global map selection and wait for these two specific modifiers to pop up:
  • Hurricane Major Map Condition: This weather event offers the absolute best drop rates for blueprints globally. Your best move here is to target the Dam Battlegrounds map while a Hurricane is active and dedicate your entire run to hunting down Raider Caches.
  • Night Raids: Nighttime modifiers globally buff overall loot density across the board. When a Night Raid is active, hit the Blue Gate map. Head straight for the reinforced reception area and search all locked key rooms, which become heavily populated with high-tier containers during the night cycle.
Quick Pro-Tips for the Hunt
  • Bring a Safe Pocket Bag: The blueprint is rare, and losing it to an extraction ambush hurts. Make sure your backpack setup includes at least one Safe Pocket. The second that blue text pops up on your screen, tuck the blueprint away immediately. Even if you get jumped and fail to extract, it stays safely in your permanent inventory.
  • Look for the "Wild" Weapon: Interestingly, the physical, fully-assembled weapon actually drops much more frequently than the blueprint itself. If you aren't worried about hoarding the permanent crafting recipe and just want a cheap, disposable anti-ARC heavy weapon for immediate use, check locked rooms and standard chests. You can often find ready-to-shoot Rascals lying around, saving you from spending valuable crafting materials back at base.
