The sagging roof liner struggle is real in this heat - cassandrarothermere - 07-14-2026 I've been putting this off for months but I think I finally have to accept that my car's headliner is beyond saving at this point. It started with just a little droop near the rear window and I tried to ignore it, but now the fabric is literally hanging down and touching the top of my head when I sit in the driver's seat, which is super distracting and honestly a bit embarrassing when I have passengers. I've seen those DIY videos where people use spray adhesive and a roller but honestly with the kind of heat we get here in the UAE, I feel like that's just going to be a temporary fix and I'll end up with glue all over my seats and a sticky mess. A friend of mine tried the staple gun approach and he said it looked terrible so I'm not even going there. I've been looking around for a place that specializes in this because I know it's a tricky job that needs proper foam backing and the right adhesive that can handle the extreme temperatures. I've been trying to find a workshop that offers expert car roof lining repair in Abu Dhabi because I don't want to drive around with the fabric flapping around and obstructing my view. Has anyone had this done recently and can tell me roughly what I should expect to pay and how long the workshop usually needs to keep the car? Also, do they have to remove the entire headliner board or do they work with it still in the car? Any insights would be massively helpful because I'm clueless about this sort of thing. |
